From the Desk of Keith Hafner

What I Told My Sons.

Jason and Ian were just little guys.  Two and three years old.

One thing I taught them:  ‘You can do hard things.’

I knew that many people, when explaining why they quit something…or why they didn’t try it in the first place, say, “It was too hard.”

I wanted my guys to grow up with the belief that, even if it WAS hard…they could still do it.

At ‘Keith Hafner’s Karate,’ we call it the ‘Yes, I Can’ mindset.

Why I’m writing:  Your kids, have, at some point already done many, many hard things.

They’ve moved outside of their comfort zone.  They’ve stuck with some things — even in the face of adversity.

The takeaway?  Always remind them of the hard things they’ve already done — and that they can also do the new hard things that come their way.

They’ve already proven it.
