From the Desk of Keith Hafner

Succeed Without Talent.

Talent alone seldom wins the game.  There are two qualities that will support you in succeeding, even in areas where your talent or skill might be limited.

The first is:  COMPLIANCE.  How many people, including those with talent and skill, get messed up by: being late; missing deadlines;  not following instructions;  doing incomplete work?

Simply comply.  It’s one easy way to succeed.

The second quality is:  REPETITION.

Yup.  Do the reps.  Got a long list of vocabulary words to memorize?  A karate form to learn?  A difficult musical passage to master?

Do the reps.  Takes no skill.  Talent not involved.  What would happen if everybody with the same assignment did 10 reps…and you did 125?

You win.  That’s what happens.
