From the Desk of Keith Hafner

What I Told My Sons

Jason and Ian were just little guys.  Two and three years old.  One thing I taught them:  “You can do hard things.”

I knew that many people, when explaining why they quit something…or why they didn’t try it in the first place, say, “It was too hard.”

I wanted my guys to grow up with the belief that, even if it WAS hard…they could still do it.

Now, we call it the “Yes, I Can” mindset.

Why I’m writing:  Your kids, during their “Keith Hafner’s Karate” time –have already done things that are harder than many people have ever done.

They’ve moved outside of their comfort zone.  They’ve stuck with it — even in the face of adversity.

The takeaway?  Remind them of their time in Karate — and that they, too, “can do hard things.”

They’ve already proven it.
