When I have a day or days off, I always use a technique I discovered about ten years ago. When you use this technique, you can find the answer to any problem or challenge!
It’s simple, too. Here it is: Ask your brain a question. Just one. A question that can be simply stated. For example…
“What can I do to improve the level of service in my business?” or “How can I reconnect with former customers?” or “What can I do to improve my personal relationship with (fill in name)?” or “How can I improve employee training?”
At the beginning of the day, write this question (remember, just ONE question) on a blank tablet. Look at it for a few minutes. Then, just go about your day! If you happen to walk by your pad of paper, pick it up for a few minutes and look at your question. Continue with your day.
When something occurs to you about your question (and it will, I assure you!), write it down on the pad.
This is important: don’t sit and THINK about the question. That will prevent your subconscious mind (which contains the answers) from operating.
Stick with this question for a whole day. Maybe even two days. It never fails.
Here’s why: your brain is the greatest computer that ever existed. It can figure out just about anything. But we usually think about questions for only a moment or two…and then we become distracted, or move on to thinking about another problem.
And, we usually use our conscious mind — which has limited capability — instead of using the vastly more powerful subconscious mind.
When you use this system, you are allowing your “computer” to work the way it was meant to work. Try it. You’ll see!
